Meet Lory Laughter
has been a practicing dental hygienist since her graduation from Idaho State University in 1994. Today she has a variety of career roles including private practice, speaking, writing and event planning. She has held consulting positions with Nuvora, Inc and OnPharma. Lory also participates in Hygiene Department consulting with Kathleen Johnson consulting.
Her monthly column in RDH Magazine “From the Edge” (2005-2011) delves into the dark corners of the profession and brings them to light. Her drive to bring every dental hygienist into the 21st century makes Lory’s passionate column a must read for dental professionals. She currently writes a monthly column on Internet resources and is a feature writer on topics related to career advancement.
Lory is the founder and owner of Dental IQ - a business committed to providing quality continuing education to the entire dental team. Dental IQ (www.dentaliq.net) hosts the Annual Napa Dental Experience, which has grown to become a popular national meeting drawing nationally recognized speakers and international attendees.
As a national speaker covering a variety of dental and health topics, her courses are appealing to every member of the dental team. Lory's continuing education classes are available to any size audience; national meetings, state and local associations, study clubs or in-office training and are tailored for the specific needs of the group.
Her desire to see every team member achieve for the benefit of the practice sets the tone for Lory's consulting style. Developing skills, integrating education and understanding the importance of business success are the essential for growth and job satisfaction. Reaching goals and creating the ideal health care environment will lead to success, both monetarily and personally.
She is a member of ADHA and a vocal advocate for the association. Her humorous side was honed by raising nine children and still maintaining some degree of sanity (and most all of her hair). Her spare time is devoted to volunteering in her community, providing a warm home to abandoned pets, and enjoying empty nest syndrome.
Meet Jamie Richards
Jamie Richards was born and lives in her hometown of Orange, California. Mrs. Richards has been working in the dental field since 1998 specializing in practice management and now consulting.
Jamie enjoys building strong relationships with the clients. She has a passion for helping dental offices restore their practice to optimum function and efficiency through team training and education. She has attended a number of different management courses that have equipped her to work in many different office environments. She feels it is necessary to be open and honest with doctors and the team to embrace their strengths and strive to meet office goals.
Jamie’s passion empowers team members and dentists to exceed their goals beyond their expectations.
As a team and software trainer and a team builder, Jamie has an effective way of teaching the entire team how to move in the same direction, while working as an individual.
Through Kathleen Johnson Consulting, Inc, Jamie provides her expertise to dental practices, both large and small.
